1.6 - Time and Date Formats

StocksToTrade provides its users with the flexibility to select from two distinct formats for displaying time and date. This feature is designed to cater to the preferences of a diverse user base, ensuring that everyone can work in a format that they are most comfortable with.

  • The first option available is the Month/Day/Year format, which is accompanied by a 12-hour time display. This format is commonly used in the United States and is familiar to many users, making it a convenient choice for those who are accustomed to this style of date and time representation.
  • The second option is the Day/Month/Year format, paired with a 24-hour time display. This format is widely used in many other parts of the world and is often preferred by users who favor a more international standard. The 24-hour clock can help eliminate any confusion that might arise from the AM/PM designation.

To change the time and date format, users simply need to right-click on the date shown in the time bar located at the bottom of the application. This action will prompt a menu that allows them to select their preferred format easily. This straightforward process ensures that users can customize their experience quickly and efficiently, enhancing their overall interaction with the StocksToTrade platform.

This update specifically impacts the following displays:

  • The bottom time bar, which serves as a visual indicator of time, will be affected by this change. Users who rely on this feature for quick time reference should take note of the adjustments being made.
  • The dates associated with news items will also see changes. This is particularly important for users who frequently check news updates, as the way dates are presented will be altered to enhance clarity.

It is important to note that all other times throughout the platform will continue to be presented in the 24-hour format. This ensures consistency across the system, allowing users to familiarize themselves with the time display without confusion.
